Scaling your cluster

You can add more computing capacity and/or storage to your cluster by scaling your cluster. This can be done by going to the cluster “Settings” tab, choosing your scaling preferences like number of nodes and clicking “Add Node(s)”.

Scaling your cluster

A cluster scaling operation takes around 15-30 minutes irrespective of the number of nodes you are adding. All existing apps are expected to function normally when a cluster is being scaled up. You will see the status of the cluster scaling operation in the “Settings” tab.

Scaling in progress

You will get a “Cluster scaled” email telling you what was added to the cluster once the scaling is finished successfully.

NOTE that there is currently no provision to scale down a cluster(i.e., remove a node). This is a WIP feature and not generally available.
